Contexte et objectifs
European research laboratory that carries out expertise and certifications of products and services related to steels for reinforced concrete and reinforcement.
Requirement
The laboratory carries out tensile tests in accordance with standard EN ISO 15630-3. In order to measure elongation with sub-micron accuracy on various prestressed steel strands until the specimen completely breaks, it wanted to equip itself with an accurate, versatile and reliable system.
To measure strain accurately on these materials, it needed a non-contact system that would enable him to do so until the sample broke, while avoiding breakage of the extensometer.



 
Constraints
  • The strand breakage results in the breakage of the various wires breakage which constitute sample, so there is a risk of damage to optical extensometer if the test is to be carried out until complete failure.
  • Integration with existing with real-time data transmission to machine software
  • Measuring base from 200 to 900mm
  • Accuracy less than micron
