Nuclear: polymer behaviour law

Contexte et objectifs
A research laboratory in nuclear sector wanted a versatile deformation measurement system so that it could be used by equipping its different brands and models testing machines fleet.
In order to determine constitutive laws parameters of the different materials developed on a polymer base, it is necessary to obtain macro-mechanical data (deformations measurement in the three directions X, Y and Z).
Tensile/compression tests taking into account speed, temperature and localized deformations, measurement of volumetric deformation and intrinsic stress.
Nuclear: polymer behaviour law
Constraints
  • Integration with the existing system (MTS hydraulic, Instron electromechanical, MTS machines) and perfect data synchronization (force, deformations, crosshead displacement) with all machine control softwares (Bluehill on Instron machine, Testworks on MTS machine), control of the Instron 8500 hydraulic machine in deformation and force which requires perfect knowledge and control of the machine's environment.
  • Measurement of volumetric deformation with deformation control: at constant true deformation speed.
